- Dre Anne Des Roches, CHU Sainte-Justine, awarded $50,000 for the 2012 Canadian Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Foundation (CAAIF) “Walk to Axe Anaphylaxis” Research Award for Anaphylaxis Research in Canada for your project entitled “Risk of anaphylaxis at time of allergenic food introduction in siblings of children with food allergy”
- Drs. Susan Waserman and Manel Jordana, McMaster University, were awared $50,000 for the Allergy/Asthma Information Association (AAIA) and Canadian Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Foundation (CAAIF) Fourth Award for Ontario Research in Food Allergy for their your project entitled “Mechanisms underlying peanut allergy and anaphylaxis”

- Dr. Anne Ellis, Queen’s University, was awarded $60,000 for the Allergy/Asthma Information Association (AAIA) and Canadian Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Foundation (CAAIF) Fourth Award for Ontario Research in Food Allergy for her project entitled “Developmental Origins of Food Allergy: Role of Epigenetics and Regulatory T Cells”.
- Dr. Christine McCusker, from Meakins-Christie Laboratories, McGill University, was awarded $63,000 for the 2011 “Walk to Axe Anaphylaxis” and Canadian Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Foundation research award for anaphylaxis research in Canada for her project entitled “Modulation of food-induced anaphylaxis by STAT6 inhibition Beyond IgE”.
- Dr. Qutayba Hamid, from Meakins-Christie Laboratories, McGill University, was awarded $10,000 for the 2011 CAAIF Research Grant Competition for his project entitled “Association Study of Mitophagy in Refractory Asthma”.
