Dr.
Donald F. Stark was a graduate of the University
of Alberta in 1975 with MD distinction. He subsequently did a rotating
Internship at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, BC and went on to do
an Internal Medicine Residency at the St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver and
sub-specialized in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the University of
Toronto.
He set up in private practice in 1983 and maintained a
teaching position with the University of British Columbia and is currently
a clinical associate professor in the division of clinical immunology and
allergy and Department of Medicine at the University.
He was a former president of the Canadian Society of
Allergy and Clinical Immunology from 1990 to 1992 and was instrumental in
setting up the Canadian Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Foundation and was
its first Chairman.
