DR. SUSAN WASERMAN
Susan Waserman MSc, MD, FRCPC, FAAAAI is a Professor of Medicine, in the Division of Allergy/Clinical Immunology at McMaster University. She is also the Director of the Adverse Reactions Clinic at the Firestone Institute of Respiratory Health, St Joseph’s Healthcare in Hamilton.
Dr. Waserman's research interests and activities include mechanisms and treatment of peanut allergy and food related anaphylaxis, as well as urticaria, asthma, and allergic rhinitis.
She is the past President of the Ontario and Canadian Societies of Allergy and Clinical Immunology . Dr. Waserman has four children and five beautiful grandchildren.

DR. PHILIPPE BÉGIN
Philippe Bégin MD, PhD, FRCPC is a clinician-scientist and assistant professor at the CHUM and the CHU Sainte-Justine. He teaches allergy and immunology at the Université de Montréal. He is the instigator and director of the public oral immunotherapy clinic at the Sainte-Justine. His research interest focuses on new treatments for food allergy and their delivery in the public healthcare setting.

Jennifer Gerdts is the Executive Director of Food Allergy Canada and oversees its commitment to help Canadians live safely and confidently with food allergy. Through her leadership, she maintains the organization’s foundation in providing medically reviewed education and support for individuals with food allergy and families while elevating the focus on key advocacy issues. Jennifer also understands life with food allergy as the mother of three teens, two of whom have multiple food allergies. Her prior professional experience was in business strategy, planning and organizational effectiveness for clients in the pharmaceuticals, financial sector, industrial equipment and consumer goods industries.

DR. MARK GREENWALD
Mark Greenwald MD MSc FRCPC clinical allergy, is staff at Humber Regional Hospital, University of Toronto, and Queens University. Dr. Greenwald served on the Board of the Asthma Society of Canada throughout its formative years. As chair of the Medical and Science Committee, he developed award winning educational websites and did the first study of Asthma in Aboriginal Canadians. He chaired the world’s first International Conference on the Economics of Asthma and has established the first Asthma multidisciplinary educational programme in Canada. His doctoral (PhD) thesis lead to current treatment for an otherwise incurable disease. He has published numerous research articles and three chapters in medical textbooks. Dr. Greenwald received Ontario’s highest award for clinical teaching. Dr. Greenwald is President of Allergy Canada Ltd the leading allergy company in Canada.

DR. MARY MCHENRY
Mary McHenry MD, FRCPC is a Community Pediatric Allergist at Halifax Allergy and Asthma Associates, as well as Assistant Professor in Pediatric Clinical Immunology and Allergy at the IWK Health Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She is also the Residency Training Program Director for Pediatric Clinical Immunology and Allergy at Dalhousie University. Her research interests including food oral immunotherapy (OIT) in children, and is actively involved in a Canada wide quality research project on OIT.

She has over 30 years of experience in the post-secondary and health sectors related to public consultation and research, program implementation, strategic and operational planning, network administration, partnership and public policy development, advocacy, fundraising, knowledge mobilization, conference planning and meeting facilitation.

MS. KIMBERLY WAINES
Ms. Kimberly Waines completed her training as a registered nurse in Hamilton, Ontario before moving to Arizona where she completed her ICU Nursing Diploma at Desert Samaritan Hospital. After moving back to Canada, Ms. Waines completed her Asthma Education Diploma with the National Asthma Training Centre from the UK, and worked as an asthma/allergy educator at the Asthma Allergy Teaching Unit in Vancouver. In 2000, she joined the pharmaceutical industry in the field of asthma and allergy, launching novel asthma medications as well as managing an allergy portfolio. She is a mother of three lovely young women.
